eTime partners with Ultranet

Monday, 5th October 2009

We're happy to announce that Edtech/Ultranet have formed a partnership with education consultancy company, eTime. Based in Christchurch and servicing the Canterbury region (and occasionally beyond), eTime will provide training and support for the growing number of Ultranet schools in the region.

eTime currently provides a wide range of professional development services for schools (Board of Trustees, principals and teachers) as well as a range of innovative programmes for school students, aimed at developing learning skills, increased motivation and enthusiasm for learning. As part of the partnership, eTime will now include support for schools venturing into the Learning Management System space with Ultranet. eTime is using Ultranet for their online training portal, and has initiated this with their Experienced Principals Development Programme.

Wednesday, 9th September 2009

The last show for our inaugural round of Ultranet Roadshows completed yesterday in Masterton. In total, we visited 23 towns and cities, with a total of 41 shows and over 400 attendees. We will be following up with attendees who were interested in a demo account or pricing. Also, we will be drawing the winning schools for the Ultranet Roadshow grand prize at ULearn09 in October (come visit us at the conference stand if you are attending!).

Ultranet Roadshow charges on

Wednesday, 15th April 2009

The Ultranet Roadshow has been rolling along well through term 1, with visits to Northland, Southland, Otago and the Manawatu-Wanganui regions. The feedback has been very positive, with many attendees grateful for the chance to see Ultranet in action and in context within the wider Managed Learning Environment.

Travels resume in term 2 with the next leg of roadshows in Tauranga, Rotorua and Taupo. We will continue to update the Ultranet Roadshow page as subsequent dates and venues get confirmed. We will also be scheduling some Auckland events shortly, so keep an eye out if you are in this region.

Make sure you check out the schedule and register your teachers, ICT directors and senior management leaders—all schools attending go into the draw to win 1 year of Ultranet free! We look forward to seeing you there.

Ministry of Education selects Ultranet

Friday, 13th February 2009

As you may be aware, the Ministry of Education recently ran a tender to select a small number of vendors as development partners for the Managed Learning Environment (MLE) project. We are delighted to be able to let all our Edtech customers know that as a result of this process Edtech, with Ultranet, has been selected as a preferred development partner.

As a partner, Edtech will be funded by the Ministry of Education to further develop aspects of Ultranet to meet the evolving interoperability standards. This work will enable schools to share resources and to progressively interact in more seamless ways with other components of the wider managed learning environment.

This means that schools can now choose Ultranet as their learning management system with confidence, assured that our ongoing development pathway will be supported in both direction and funding by the Ministry of Education.
